February 2009 | Back to News
Angkor Park's first dedicated interpretive center opened February 2009. The new Preah Khan Visitor Center and Exhibition engages Angkor’s diverse audiences in a memorable experience of Preah Khan—-one of the most important Angkorian sites now successfully preserved as a partial ruin. JCC&A served as the curator and project director, working with the World Monuments Fund and the APSARA Authority to present the history, conservation, and living heritage stories of the site. The Center also features a photo-essay by renown Khmer photographer Mak Remissa. His photographs document the daily life of villages surrounding Preah Khan. All exhibition text is in English and Khmer.
