To facilitate the implementation of audio technology at the Angkor World Heritage site in Cambodia, JCC&A has hired longtime partner and Angkor tour guide, Khin Po-Thai. Thai is working as the Tour Guide Liaison Officer in facilitating Tour Guide Technology, a cutting-edge system designed by Antenna International. The technology allows tour guides to speak into microphones that transmit their words through visitors’ headphones, thus quieting the noise impact of large tour groups. Thai brings a wealth of experience as a tour guide at Angkor, and has collaborated with JCC&A on interpretive planning efforts throughout the site. His thoughtful expertise makes him an invaluable member of our team and an important link both to the 2,000+ tour guides at Angkor and to the specific requirements of the site itself.
