With a three-day gathering of diverse experts, Heidelberg University initiated an interdisciplinary discussion about the historical implications and contemporary challenges behind the concept "archaeological heritage." Organized in part by one of JCC&A's past collaborative partners in Cambodia, the University's Institute for Scientific Computing, the meeting presented a range of methodological approaches, from architectural and intellectual history to historic preservation and scientific computing.
Reflecting her firm's unusual and extensive experience at the archaeological park of Angkor, Jane Clark Chermayeff presented the significant role interpretation can play in supporting conservation efforts when the visitor experience is considered early on in project planning and approach.
