A former sugar plantation, this ecologically diverse site has been home to human habitation for more than 1,500 years. Today its nearly 2,300 acres are being transformed into a nature reserve, historic site, and public education center. As chief interpretive planner, JCC&A developed content and a conceptual framework for all aspects of this wide-ranging project, including exhibitions, a historical garden, walking trails, and recreational opportunities.
