The Brooklyn Children’s Museum opened its new “green” building expansion in 2008, making it the first green museum in New York City. JCC&A collaborated with museum staff to program audience understanding of the sustainable and green features of the new building, including waterless toilets, energy efficient lighting, compost areas, and on-site recycling. JCC&A also served as evaluator for the development of family programs that will animate the World Brooklyn exhibition in the new museum.
